Brooklands Day Centre

The concept for the Brooklands Centre was based on the ‘need’ to develop a larger facility with a wider community appeal within the parameters of the existing site, whilst creating a sensitive design solution for a modern building within a conservation area.

The proposed facility creates the additional space through the introduction of an ‘L’ shaped first floor and roof terrace addressing the riverside gardens. In essence the design solution is a contemporary interpretation of traditional forms within the locality, used in association with vernacular materials.
